New Windows and maxi dresses

The Brooker Dog

Here are pictures of our two new window displays for the month of June!
I am going to try and come up with new ones for every month and put them on here, hopefully we will get some inspiration for July soon.......
we were thinking of wimbledon maybe.
Anyway the spotty birds are made out of card and wrapping paper from the shop and I am quite pleased with them as is The Brooker Dog, who as you can see is posing for the photos she actually likes to sit in the window but can cause mayhem in amongst the china.
There is a new bar opening up tomorrow night on our street called the underground am much looking forward to the opening for which I am intending to wear a vintage blue maxi dress and flat gold sandals will be needing some big gold earrings I think and not that I wish it was winter but I also have a fur coat to go with it. Will have to see what the weather does tomorrow and get back to you.

Em and Jims Wedding Day

We got back from the wedding yesterday and it was great we had so much fun. Em Looked beautiful as I knew she would and had made everything look lovely. I was very pleased with the bunting it looked fab hanging in the barn and lit with candle light we also lent our china and and lanterns etc all of which were perfect in the country setting.
They got married in a tiny, old and very pretty church also lit by candles, unfortunately our map reading or should I say reader wasn't at his best and combined with a little bit of a late start and lots of country lanes we had to creep in at the back (sorry Em and Jim). I still managed to shed a few tears when I saw her and as they said the vows!, and during the speeches.
The reception was in a lovely barn with a big courtyard and luckily it didn't rain to much so we could stand outside too we drank lots of champagne and wine and ate very tasty food. Then they had a brilliant band which had everyone up and dancing I didn't think to find out the name.
All in all a brilliant wedding I'd say. I have put a picture of the barn up but it was a bit dark and our camera wasn't that good so I don't think it does it justice. Thanks for a lovely day guys!
must go and open the shop

One Hundred Metres of Bunting

Well we are off to our friends wedding this weekend, hoping for the lovely weather to stay!
Its all very exciting, the bunting (of so many blisters and so much sewing) will be on its first outing all 100 metres of it, as will all the pretty china I have collected. I can't wait to see it all outside our kitchen and being used.
Em has kindly said we can use the photos and I will put some up on our return......and on the return of all the pretty things we will get them on the web site with prices for hiring them.
Am away now to pack my little suitcase full of feathers and fascinators and my most favourite shoes!
Bye now from Kitx
